Kitz picks Young and Cunningham for the UK

Young and Cunningham Group has secured a UK distributorship for ball and butterfly valves from Kitz Corp. The deal means that Young and Cunningham will enter into a number of new sectors, including fine chemicals, pharmaceutical, oil, gas and petrochemical. As a UK-authorised distributor of Kitz industrial quarter-turn valves, Young and Cunningham will be able to offer the full range of ball and butterfly valves available in both carbon and stainless steel. It will also complement the range of El-O-Matic Actuators which Young and Cunningham market. With the introduction of the Valve Automation Centre in Young and Cunningham’s Glasgow office, this will enable the company to deliver valve automation services to the new target sectors. The wider services available to Kitz Corporation include testing facilities, “in-house” automation and the ability to provide a full service package from initial order through to installation.
As a result of this new contract, Young and Cunningham has appointed two managers focusing on driving sales. Stewart Henderson joins the company as Field Sales Manager for the North of England from Pipeline Center. Andrew Clegg has been appointed as Business Development Manager responsible for distributing Kitz products across the UK. Clegg joins the company from EL-O-Matic, part of the Emerson Group, and will be based in the Glasgow office.
