Knife gate valve for slurries

ITT has introduces the Fabri-Valve SV1, a knife gate valve that integrates Guillotine Gate technology. The gate is designed to slice through high density slurry at an angle, which prevents the seat from cutting and tearing, while reducing the amount of discharge from the valve. The gate can be completely removed and replaced while the valve is under pressure, actuation can be changed in the field, and valves with manual operators or air cylinders have self-supporting yokes providing valve orientation flexibility. The valve is available in 3in to 24in diameter sizes, and can operate at pressures to 150psi and temperatures to 170F. The valve incorporates plastic UHMW Polyethylene gate support liners as well as engineered polymer seats. Positive bi-directional shutoff allows zero downstream leakage. The Fabri-Valve SV1 is suitable for controlling heavy slurries.
