PetrolValves is working on a 42” isolation valve Class ASME 1500 through a conduit Slab Gate Valve (reverse acting) with an electric actuator for an onshore gas terminal. Such a majestic size valve is beginning to take shape as it is currently being carved out of its 70-tons body in the Castellanza workshop.
“We embrace the technical challenges that come with building Slab Gate Valves of such dimensions,” said Sandro Malquori, CEO of PetrolValves Group. “While this is the largest Slab Gate Valve ever produced in PetrolValves, with the combination 42” and Class ASME 1500, many of our Double Expanding Valves have been operating in the Nordic area for over 30 years.”
