Izhorskiye Zavody, part of OMZ Group, has finalized the fabrication of the first VVER-1200 reactor vessel for Leningrad NPP-2. One of the final stages of the manufacturing successfully completed control assembly of the reactor vessel with in-vessel devices and head block shield.

The contract for the manufacturing and supplement of power equipment for Leningrad NPP-2, which is currently being built for capacity substitution of operating Leningrad NPP, was signed in 2008.
In contract frames Izhorskiye Zavody will supply vessel equipment for two power units: reactor vessels with in-vessel devices, upper blocks and pressure compensation valves.
