Limitorque actuators at the western treatment plant

Limitorque actuators have been operating in the plant for over 50 years on various projects and various stages of expansion projects including Tainter gates with Limitorque Modutronic 100 with onboard PID, Sludge drying projects (more than 60 units), 100 year flood project, pump isolation valves to name a few, the more recent projects include digital control systems.

The Western Treatment Plant has been operating since 1897 and treats approximately half of Melbourne’s sewerage.

Limitorque MX and L120 series actuators are built at Acrodyne Pty Ltd Quick Response Centre also located in Melbourne. The ability to locally build actuators provides a significantly higher level of support while at the same time ensuring the plant’s operational security.
