Magnum Systems slide diverter valves

In a Smoot Slide Diverter valve, a flexible tube is attached to a slide plate that moves back and forth over a very short distance to line up with the required convey line. This design makes these valves superior to cast diverters by reducing wear, power consumption, cross contamination, and installation issues.

The Smoot Slide Diverter has less material breakage and wear on the valve due to only a 7 degree change in direction resulting in fewer impacts from material hitting the valve. The decrease in change of direction also reduces the pressure drop of a pneumatic convey system.

The Smoot Slide Diverter cannot leak down the other convey line. The diverting hose is isolated to one line or another. Since cast valves depend on an internal blade, plug or tunnel that rotates to multiple positions, they can wear out on the inside. The Smoot Slide Diverter is compact, light, and stackable.

As the hose divert has no leaks or dead areas, it is perfect for food applications such as flour, starch or sugars.
