Major scale actuation adopted at Indian coal plant

Auma has been awarded a major contract for a coal-fired power plant at Sipat, India. More than 2000 actuators have been supplied to National Thermal Power Corp. (NTPC) Ltd’s plant located near Bilaspur in Chattisgarh. NTPC’s 4300 acre thermal power plant under development in Sipat is India’s first project to operate on super-critical boilers that burn less fuel than conventional boilers to produce the same amount of electricity. Products supplied by Auma include the SA 48.1 actuator with 32,000Nm output torque. Auma’s Indian division has achieved the necessary approvals to assemble the required scale of actuation at their Indian manufacturing plant. This will ensure the provision of local product features designed specifically to serve the Indian market requirements.
