Manoir wins contract for Chinese nuclear market

Manoir Industries has been awarded a key contract through Emerson to provide cast valve components for the primary and secondary circuit of Fuqing 5 & 6 nuclear power plants, located on the coast of Xinghua Bay in Fujian province, China. Castings will be delivered this year and Emerson should supply the assembled valves several weeks after.
cast valve componentsWhen contacted by Valve World, Nuclear Sales Vice President Hadrien Cléret commented “We have supplied castings in China on the first imported 900MWe M310 at Daya Bay, then on all the CPR-1000, AP1000, on the ACPR1000 and ACP-1000 designs and now on the new Hualong ACC Chinese design, so this is an important and exciting development for us.”
Manoir Industries manufacture valve and pump bodies in casting and forging for primary and secondary circuits, from twenty-kilogram weight up to 50 tons. These components are delivered as cast parts or fully machined and ready to be assembled. Manoir Industries has been supplying nuclear valve components for Emerson for more than 30 years and for the Chinese market since the first unit at Daya Bay in the late 1980s.
