Mercer Valves, a supplier to the coal seam gas industry in the Uspressure and Safety Systems, is continuing to grow the sales of Mercer Valves in Australia, after winning several major contracts to supply safety relief valves to the coal seam gas and natural gas industries. According to Pressure and Safety Systems, Mercer Valves incorporate “Auto Seat Technology” to deliver major advantages, including bubble tight sealing, increased seat life and lower maintenance costs. Pressure and Safety Systems says Auto Seat Technology is a non-rising stem design that uses low rated springs to achieve a consistent set pressure. A fully guided disk and spring gives the valve accurate set pressure and help with reseating after each pop. Furthermore, the lip seal seat creates a tighter seal up to the set pressure. According to Pressure and Safety Systems, Mercer Valves also incorporate a mechanical stop, which allows the disk to open to the same point at every blow-off, guaranteeing a consistent flowrate while limiting spring stress.
