Metso expands its valve distributor network

Metso signed new distributor agreements in eight European countries for its valve business during H1/2019. The agreements cover the following companies that serve their respective areas: Eck Boro, Switzerland; GEMZA, Azerbaijan; GERYON, Bulgaria; MACH, Germany; PCE, Portugal; PMS, Austria; REFLOW, Slovakia and ROBMET, Romania.

The new agreements help to further expand the coverage of Metso’s valve offering in various customer industries. Depending on the country, the distributors serve process industries, such as refineries, petrochemical, chemical, fertilizer, steel, bioenergy, food, power, pulp and paper, and wastewater. Some of the distributors also provide service support for Metso valves and valve controls.

“We are searching for partners who are recognized players in their markets, see the value of our products and are willing to make the investment to promote them. They should also have proven closeness with their customers and the ability to carry the inventory,” says Kyle Rayhill, Director of O&G Valve Business Management at Metso.

“We are constantly developing our cooperation, customer service, and ordering. For example, we have recently launched a modern Partner Portal for our distributors, and the user feedback has been very positive,” he concludes.

Metso has a strong direct sales organization and an extensive service network to serve its customers globally. Expanding the sales channel network complements the existing presence and is one of the most important strategic growth initiatives for Metso’s valves business in many key markets.
