Metso took part in the Flow Control Exchange India 2019 and lead off with the seminar, “Applying IIoT methods to valves in process plants”.
In the seminar, Metso’s application expert Ramakrishna Koti explained how reliability, production, and quality can be improved with smart device data. The topics covered include the benefits of secure IIoT, without the need for significant investment in additional hardware and sensors; practical case studies to show benefits achieved in modern process plants; introduction to basic assessment tools used to understand the performance of valves in attendee plants.
In addition to the seminar, Metso welcomed its visitors to meet its experts and explore its unique valve and service solution offering for the oil & gas, pulp & paper and other process industries.
Amplified by an acquisition of a valve automation business in India in 2018, Metso’s portfolio meets a wide scope of customer needs in flow control. A range of valves, actuators, limit switches, and pneumatics was included in Metso’s existing offering that expanded to cater to new industries and applications.
