Norgren, now offers a monitored soft start dump valve. Designed to limit risks during initial pressurisation, the soft start valve allows a controlled increase of pressure, which supplies downstream equipment, reducing the possibility of damage due to rapid pressurisation. The integral micro-switch monitors the dump function, ensuring that the valve is in the signalled position prior to the next machine operation. The valves are based on a 0.5in pipe. Available in Olympian Plus 64 or Excelon 74 variations the devices allow for incorporation into air preparation assembly or as stand-alone units. Featuring a maximum input pressure of 16bar and a minimum output of 3bar the units benefit from an operating temperature range of -20 to +50C.
