Moultrie to head-up Severn Ball Valves’ workshop

Aberdeen-based isolation valve supplier Severn Ball Valves has appointed Sandy Moultrie as Workshop Manager. With 18 years’ experience in supervisory roles, Sandy will be responsible for the overall efficiency and effectiveness of workshop and stores activities.
Severn Ball Vales is renowned for its intelligence-led engineering, which underpins the quality of the valves it supplies and their ability to meet rigorous offshore demands. Sandy will oversee all operations, including testing, inspection and HSEQ requirements, to ensure valves meet the firm’s exacting standards.

Leading a team of 15, Sandy will act as a central point of contact for customers, the sales team and senior management. His aim is to help build the firm’s reputation as a centre of excellence.
“I worked offshore early in my career so I have first-hand experience of the hostile North Sea environment,” says Sandy. “This means I can relate to clients’ needs and make sure their requirements are met quickly and effectively. Severn Ball Valves has achieved great things since it launched in 2010 and I’m pleased to be playing a part in the business as it takes its service offering to the next level.”

“With his impressive combination of offshore experience and workshop management credentials, Sandy is the ideal choice for this role,” says Brian Wood, Managing Director of Severn Ball Valves. “We have ambitious plans for the next 12 months, and with Sandy at the helm of the workshop I know we will be well-placed to meet our goals.”
