Mr Don Ermis of Chevron passes away

Mr Don Ermis passed away on 27 January 2006 at 1:00 PM with his family around him at Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital, USA. Mr Don Ermis had 32 years service with Texaco & Chevron. He started his career with the Texaco Pipeline Co. as an hourly field employee in August of 1974. Mr Ermis went to night school and finished his degree in Mechanical engineering in 1984 when he transferred to the District Engineering Staff. In October of 1995, he transferred to Texaco General Engineering Department where he accepted the position as Piping & Valve Specialist. Since this he has accepted positions as Senior Piping & Valve Specialist. With the ETC merger of ERTC and EPTC, Mr Ermis took on a more active Subject Matter Expert function with the Upstream Facilities and Projects. Over the years in his role, Mr Ermis represented Chevron on many Industry Committees which included the American Petroleum Institute (API) Committee on Refining Sub Committee on Piping, Process Industry Practices and International Standards Organization Committee on Production API Sub Committee on Pipeline Valves.
