MSA valves for oil terminal construction in Gdansk

MSA, member of Rimera group, will supply gate valves for construction of an oil terminal in Poland. MSA will supply valves for the first stage of oil terminal construction project in the Polish city of Gdansk. “According to agreement, we will deliver more than 420 valves worth almost 60 million CZK (EUR 2.17M) to the main supplier of technological part of project, PSJ Hydrotranzit, a branch of the biggest Czech construction company PSJ”, says Lukáš Podmol, Polish market sales manager.

Under the contract, MSA will supply slab and wedge gate valves in nominal sizes from 32″ to 48″, Class 150 and ball valves in smaller nominal sizes. Valves are equipped with electric actuators Drehmo. “Height of gate valves will reach 6m and combined with actuator, even 7.3m. It is essential to master all operations with such a big valves; everything has to be executed perfectly including manipulation, testing, welding and fitting the valve into normalising furnace”, points out Design Engineer Miroslav Černý.

“Design of gate valves in nominal size 48″ could enable us to enter new western markets. We are currently dealing with American clients about expanding of this product to American market”, adds Lukáš Podmol.
