MSS publishes revised quality standard

The Manufacturers Standardization Society (MSS) of the Valve and Fittings Industry announces that SP-94-2020, Quality Standard for Steel Castings and Forgings for Valves, Flanges, Fittings, and Other Piping Components – Ultrasonic Examination Method, has been revised and published by MSS.
Standard Practice (SP)-94 has served as an industry norm for over 37 years; providing methods and acceptance standards for ultrasonic examination of austenitic, ferritic, and martensitic steel castings and forgings for valves, flanges, fittings, and other piping components. This Standard Practice applies to the initial examination of castings and forgings and towards the examination of repairs. SP-94 continues to be maintained under the consensus of MSS Technical Committee 304, Quality Standards.
The revised Standard Practice, MSS SP-94-2020, is now available from authorized U.S. and global distributors. It has been published in an electronic version (PDF) and book format.
