CNTIC (China National Technical Import & Export Corp.), Beijing, China, has ordered a complete newsprint machine from Voith Paper (Heidenheim, Germany) for installation at the Jiangxi Paper Co. mill in Nanchang, China. Jiangxi Paper, a Chinese paper manufacturer, will produce 540 metric tons per day of newsprint with improved newsprint qualities within a basis-weight range of 35-51 g/m2 on the new 7000mm-wide PM 10. The machine, with a designed speed of 1500 m/min, is being equipped with a GapJet headbox with ModuleJet technology, a DuoFormer TQv, a DuoCentri II press, and a TopDuoRun dryer section, as well as a Sirius reel. The Sirius reel allows independent control of linear load, web tension, and winding torque. Among other items, the scope of supply also includes peripheral equipment, such as the supply-air and exhaust-air system, steam, and condensate system, oil and grease lubrication system, and controls and instrumentation. In addition, the engineering and erection supervision support during start-up and training are part of the order.
