Neste Jacobs, a technology, engineering and project management company performs EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management) services for Neste’s EUR 60M investment in Naantali to enhance the competitiveness of the refining operations.
The investments are interrelated to the program announced earlier in October 2014 with which Neste plans to develop the refineries in Porvoo and Naantali as one unit. These investments will help Neste simplify the refinery structure in Naantali and improve the process efficiency, which will then lower the production costs and increase feedstock supply to Porvoo Refinery.
The share of heavy fuel oils in Neste’s production will decline and the share of diesel will increase along with the investment program implemented in Porvoo. This is an important investment for both Neste and the industry, as it is an interesting and complex assignment.
