The Weir Group has appointed two new directors at subsidiary companies. Linda Andrews, 33, has taken up a position as finance director and company secretary with Weir Systems, the computer services specialist. She is the first woman director in the group’s 130-year history. She is also the second youngest director to work for Weir: the youngest is Carl Ennis, 31, who recently became director and general manager, power and industrial, with Hopkinsons, the group’s biggest valve-maker. Ms Andrews was previously VP-Finance with Nycomed Amersham’s Imaging Division while Mr Ennis was general manager with Siemens Technical Services and Systems.
