New butterfly valve design

Belven has released the new “NP Butterfuly valve” to complement its product range. The key specifications of this new butterfly valve include the combination of a one-piece anti blow-out stem, together with a soft rubber seat in swallow tail design. At the base and top, additional stem packing and bushing are provided to ensure that the torque is kept as low as possible. Belven commissioned the DVGW [Deutsche Vereinigung des Gas- und Wasserfaches E.v.] to test the butterfly valve for gas applications (NBR rubber seat) and drinking water applications (EPDM rubber seat). The range is available in diameters of DN 50 to DN 300, with manual handle operation, worm gear, and electrical and pneumatic operation. In keeping with the complete range of butterfly valves, this butterfly valve has been developed in accordance with DIN 3202/K1-BS5155-ISO5751-AP1609. At the top, the tap is equipped with an ISO top flange in accordance with ISO 5211. The shut-off valve is compatible with DIN PN6/PN10/PN16 flanges, as well as between ANSI 150 flanges and some JIS 10K flanges.
