New CEOs at Statoil and Aker Kvaerner

Statoil has appointed Helge Lund as new chief executive for the Statoil group. Mr Lund is currently chief executive of Aker Kværner ASA. Before Mr Lund became chief executive of Aker Kværner, he held a number of positions in the Aker RGI system, and before that he had a central role in the top management of Hafslund Nycomed. He will take up his new position on 15 August 2004. – Inge K Hansen has been appointed Group President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the new Aker Kvaerner, one of three groups that are being created as a result of the restructuring of the current Aker Kvaerner. Inge K. Hansen’s previous position was acting CEO with Statoil. Before joining Statoil as chief financial officer in 2000, Mr Hansen headed the investment bank Orkla Enskilda, where he worked for six years. Mr Hansen played a central role in the privatisation and listing of Statoil in 2001.
