Springer co-ax inc. has introduced an entry-level version of its coaxial straight-through valve with integral actuator. co-ax process valves with a straight-through flow path have been preferred for process applications where leak-free shut-off and low maintenance are critical application criteria. The ex-tec product line incorporates these same high-performance maintenance-free qualities in a configuration that is suitable for most process applications. The integral actuator with only one moving part eliminates bulky high-maintenance external actuators, linkages and stem seals. The pressure balanced design, positive shut-off, fast actuation, long cycle life (often 10 times that of conventional actuated valves) and compact design make cx-tec a good alternative to actuated ball valves, angle-seat valves and conventional solenoid valves.
