SMC Pneumatics (UK) introduces its new Series IP8000/8100 electronically-controlled electro-pneumatic positioner. Designed for use in non explosive atmospheres, it can be used with either single or double acting actuators and has a current output option for remote actuator position detection. With improved visibility from its 43% larger gauges and with IP65 enclosure protection, this series of electro-pneumatic positioners uses the same mounting dimensions as SMC’s IP6000 range, making it a fully interchangeable option. Available in either lever (IP8000) or rotary type (IP8100) feedback models, these positioners require input current between 4-20Ma DC and air pressure of 0.14 to 0.7MPa.
