Valco Instruments’ new Cheminert Nanovolume HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatography) injectors and switching valves facilitate high-resolution HPLC in a small scale. The 100µm bore is uniform throughout the flowpath, reducing band broadening and creating less than 25nl of port-to-port volume. New individual fingertight fittings work with a variety of tubing, including PEEK, fused silica (360µm), and 1/32” electroformed nickel. A fast 100msec microelectric actuator determines accurate positioning without limit switches or customer adjustment. Computer control is facilitated via RS-232 or RS-485 interface.
