Beldam Crossly Ltd have launched a unique live-loaded sealing system to reduce leaks and fugitive emissions from valves, flanges and mixers. 70% of fugitive emissions from industry come from valves. This can be dangerous, expensive and damaging to the environment. The new sealing system attacks this problem in two ways, with a gland packing set with outstanding sealability, and a cartridge-based live loading system for each bolt which automatically caters for any bolt relaxation. This combination aims to achieve practical zero leakage and eliminate the need for maintenance attention. The new stainless steel cartridge concept is easy to instal, causes less product loss and lower fugitive emissions, and eliminates maintenance. This system could be of interest to the power generation, (petro)chemical, food pharmaceutical and nuclear industries.
