Flowserve Flow Control (UK) introduces a ball valve that provides a positive release of downstream energy when the valve is closed. Based on the Worcester Series 44 three-piece design, the valve uses a ball and seat combination that allows normal flow when open, but automatically discharges downstream pressure when closed through a vent in the base of the valve.Typical applications for this product would encompass any system where stored energy could represent a hazard during maintenance, such as conveyor systems, steam feed lines, compressed gases etc.
