New stainless steel high flow capacity volume booster

ControlAir is pleased to introduce a new Stainless Steel High Flow Capacity Volume Booster. The new Type 6200 is an addition to ControlAir’s Type 6100 High Flow Capacity Volume Booster.
The Type 6200 incorporates all of the operating features of ControlAir’s Type 6100 High Capacity Volume Booster but is constructed of 316 Stainless Steel to ensure the best resistance to corrosive environments. The Type 6100/6200 are designed to significantly increase the stroking speed in valve actuation system applications that require high forward flow and exhaust capacities.
The Type 6100/6200 High Capacity Volume Boosters are a 1:1 signal to output relay that when used with a positioner/actuator, are designed to increase the stroking speed of control valves. An integral bypass valve provides system stability while allowing normal positioner airflow and normal valve actuation with small input changes.  The soft valve seat design provides tight shutoff and eliminates leakage in steady-state operation to reduce costly air consumption.
Type 6100/6200 applications include actuation of control valves used in chemical, petrochemical, oil and gas, pharmaceutical, and food processing markets. Other OEM applications include printing presses, textile machinery, tire machinery, air-operated pumps, paper machinery, and paint spray systems.
The High Flow Boosters handle up to 250 psig (17.0 bar) supply air pressure and provide output air pressure of up to 150 psig (10.0 bar). Temperature limits are -40º to 200ºF (-40º to 93ºC) and -62º to 194ºF (-52º to 90ºC) for low-temperature option.  Exhaust capacity is up to 80 scfm (2,264 Nl/min) with downstream 5 psig (0.4 bar) above 20 psig (1.38 bar) setpoint. The supply pressure effect is 0.1 psig (.007 bar) for a 25 psig (1.7 bar) change.  The Type 6100 weighs 2.5 lbs. (1.13 kg) and the Type 6200 weighs 5.7 lbs. (2.60 kg). A choice of three output ports, 1/4″, 1/2” or 3/4” NPT provides plumbing flexibility for easy hookup.
