New tool helps create new floating ball valves

Sirca International S.p.A., a manufacturer of high performance butterfly valves, ball valves, and pneumatic actuators, has announced a big investment (worth 300k) in a new Nakamura-Tome tool, machine model WT300. Thanks to its up to 30kW cutting power available for turning shaft-work with synchronized spindles, its driven-tool motor power 5.5/3.7kW, for heavy cutting with small tools, and its upper / lower turret construction which offers cycle time balancing and reduction, Sirca is able to move on researching and developing new floating ball valves.

An example of this is their new and upcoming model S30 split body in carbon steels and stainless steels. Sirca’s ball valves are said to be durable and reliable, performing well after many cycles and closing securely even after long periods of disuse. Thanks to the S30 series ball valve’s ease of operation, repair and versatility, it lends itself to extensive industrial use, supporting pressures of up to 50 bar and temperatures of up to 200°C, depending on design and materials used.
