Nordson EFD, a Nordson company, the precision fluid dispensing systems manufacturer, received the ASI 2013 Readers Choice Award from Adhesives & Sealants Industry magazine for its PICO 500Hz Dispense Valve. This is the third innovation award EFD received in 2013.

Released this year, Nordson EFD’s PICO 500Hz valve dispenses at continuous speeds up to 500Hz (cycles per second), making it the fastest piezoelectric valve available. This non-contact valve uses piezoelectric actuation technology to apply precise and consistent amounts of fluid, as small as 0.5nL, for exceptional deposit accuracy and superior process control in the most challenging applications. PICO valves do not touch the substrate, and can dispense on uneven surfaces. The system is compatible with a wide range of fluids, including adhesives, lubricants, and industrial fluids, for a broad range of applications in the medical and electronics industries.
