In June 2016, Aker Solutions announced they were awarded delivery of their longest-ever umbilical system for the Zohr gas field located offshore Egypt.
Aker Solutions awarded Norvalves, the contract for delivery of high pressure valves for the Zohr project. Norvalves will deliver both soft seated and metal seated ball valves for this project. Together with projects such as Catcher, Oseberg Vestflanken and Maria, the company believes that it will be a great year for its subsea department.
Products to be delivered by Norvalves at the Zohr project includes 2″ ball valve M2M 690 bar, 2″ ball valve soft seated 450 bar, and 3″ ball valve soft seated 450 bar.
