OCI to provide Celanese with natural gas boilers

Celanese selected Overland Contracting (OCI), a wholly owned subsidiary of Black & Veatch, to replace its coal-fired boilers with natural gas-fired boilers at a plant in Virginia. OCI will be providing engineering, procurement and construction services for the project, which is expected to be completed in early 2015. “This project will allow Celanese to improve its plant operations while using clean-burning, efficient natural gas as an energy source,” said Mark Prenni, Managing director, Overland Contracting. “OCI was selected based on our significant experience managing client needs and ability to deliver results on complex industrial projects like this one.”
