Oliver Twinsafe Valves API6A double block & bleed metal

Oliver Twinsafe Valves have produced a brand new API 6A Double Block and Bleed 1-13/16” full bore valve available in metal or soft seated configuration. Its lightweight design provides space and weight saving on platforms, reduced shipping and handling costs and minimal structural support. This bi-directional trunnion ball valve has a bore size of 1.81” (46mm) and a working pressure of 10,000psi (690bar). Twinsafe has given the new valve a large PTFE based dry bearing to minimise operating torques and maximise cycle life.

This new DBB has a working temperature of between 0°F to 250°C (-18°C to 121°C) for a soft seated valve and -20°F to 291°F (-29°C to 144°C) for a metal seated valve. The valve has endured 20 cycles both at maximum and minimum working temperatures and a body temperature cycling test whereby the valve is subjected to maximum and minimum repeatedly, completing 60-minute body tests at each extreme. The single-piece body with true DBB functions includes a triple stem sealing system, of a spring energised lip seal, comprising of O-rings with back up rings and a graphite ring. All O-rings are supplied in the material which has been fully explosive decompression tested. The API 6A/ISO 10423 approved valve is operated by an ISO 5211 F16 interface for a manual gearbox or actuator. Furthermore, it has a 1-13”/16 API Type 6BX 10,000psi flange end connector and a compact flange vent connection, however, other end connectors are available.
