Oliver Valves, Cheshire based manufacturer of high-performance valves has won three substantial orders in a single day. The orders, totaling GBP 1.6m, came from companies in Japan, China and Dubai and will be used in significant energy projects in Qatar, Iraq and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The highest order came from a Japanese company which placed an order for a GBP 750,000 instrumentation package of instrument manifolds and monoflanges for use on the Qatari Barzan Gas project in Ras Laffan Industrial City. Established in early 2011 by Qatar Petroleum and ExxonMobil, the project will play a significant role in meeting Qatar’s rising domestic gas demand.
The next order of GBP 450,000 came from Chinese company, which ordered instrumentation products for use in a metering skid package for their client the Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operations (ADCO). The valves will be used on the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company’s (ADNOC) Shah Gas Project, which from 2013 will pump approximately 540MCF of gas to the UAE grid each day.
The final GBP 400,000 order came from a Dubai-based company, which ordered double block and bleed valves worth GBP 400,000 for use by Shell Iraq on the Shell Majnoon project in Basra.
