ORBINOX ‘BC’ square ported knife gate valves have been designed for use in a bulk handling application. Fabricated from carbon steel S275JR, with a 316 s/steel gate, the valves feature special sliders to guide the gate throughout its stroke. The valves are painted in accordance with ISO 12944 C5M paint system, in compliance with the project specifications. A double acting pneumatic actuator was specified to operate the valves, which has been fitted with PneuLINK™ linear-to-rotary integrated control platform, incorporating 2-off limit switches and a 5/2 mono-stable solenoid valve, with the added benefit of the open / closed beacon visual indicator.
