Oxford Flow appoints new Executive Chair

UK-based flow control equipment specialist Oxford Flow has appointed Andrew Hodgson as Executive Chair of its Board after a period of “significant progress” under former leader David Hill.

Hodgson will work with the leadership team to advance growth and strengthen operations – a major part of which involves international expansion.

“[Hodgson’s] extensive experience and proven track record in scaling international business will be invaluable as we expand our global presence and continue to innovate,” said Neil Poxon, CEO at Oxford Flow.

The company plans to take advantage of opportunities arising across Europe, the Middle East, and the US.

“Oxford Flow has built an impressive foundation with its innovative flow control solutions, and there’s a real opportunity to expand its impact internationally,” said Hodgson.

The firm manufactures valve technology that has no mechanical drive train, stem, or diaphragm. This lack of extra moving parts makes it more reliable and cost-effective, according to Oxford Flow.

Oxford Flow has already begun demonstrating its technology outside the UK. In 2025, Abu Dhabi National Oil Company piloted the company’s emissions-eliminating ES valve technology, designed to operate without routine methane venting.

Oxford Flow said the trial highlighted the potential for its valve systems to support emissions reduction efforts in large-scale oil and gas operations, particularly in regions tightening methane regulations.
