Oxford Flow enters the German DSO market

EWE NETZ GmbH, a major gas Distribution System Operator (DSO) in northern Germany, has just installed Oxford Flow’s IMS050S with PRX2 pilot, marking its first deployment on a mainland European gas network.
The challenge: EWE-Netz operates an ageing fleet of around regulators, all of which are due for replacement due to obsolescence. They needed a reliable, future-ready solution that could meet technical requirements while offering long-term value.
The solution: After a detailed evaluation, EWE-Netz selected six IM-S valves to trial in live network conditions. They chose the IM-S as the most technically capable and cost-effective option, with performance and reliability central to their decision.
This deployment marks an important step into the German DSO market, where there’s strong demand for modern, high-performance replacements for legacy infrastructure. The three-month trial is now underway, with the potential to scale up to full network replacement.
