Oxiteno starts up alkoxylation plant

Oxiteno has announced the commencement of beneficial operations at its new 170,000 metric tons/year manufacturing plant in Pasadena, Texas. The new unit includes advanced alkoxylation technology to ensure safety and environmental performance. It will serve as a reliable domestic source of products for Oxiteno’s regional and global customers.

Oxiteno has invested around USD 200M over 6 years – including site acquisition, plant construction, and R&D facilities. The strategic US Gulf location allows easy access to key raw materials, logistics, and a specialised workforce. The company will produce a wide range of nonionic surfactants and speciality alkoxylates serving key markets such as agrochemicals, home care, industrial & institutional cleaning, personal care, oilfield chemicals, paints & coatings.
