Parker Transair introduces BIM

Transair®, a business unit of the Low Pressure Connectors Division Europe of Parker Hannifin Corporation, is making its Building Information Modeling (BIM) product range available to construction professionals. With its BIM object families, Transair now offers design companies a simple, flexible and practical solution for the design of aluminium and stainless steel networks for the transport of industrial fluids.

Under the new initiative, Transair is partnering with start-up BIM&CO for the modelling, integration and distribution of its product offering to Europe, Asia and the Middle East (BSP ISO), and America (NPT ANSI). BIM is a collaborative e-platform process involving the generation and management of digital representations of physical and functional characteristics of buildings. It helps professionals in the sector to better control each phase of a building’s life cycle, from design to end of life cycle. The announcement and launch follow a successful test phase carried out to ensure that expectations, specifications and characteristics meet market needs as closely as possible.

To ensure compatibility with BIM, all Transair families are available in REVIT format, in Level of Detail (LOD) 200 and 400. The REVIT ‘intelligent’ template simplifies the process of designing networks using Transair products, helping to reduce construction costs and foster better coordination between various aspects of the overall project.
