Dwyer’s Instruments’ recently launched Series PBFV Thermoplastic butterfly valves are thermoplastic constructed butterfly valves suitable for chemical and wastewater applications. A one-piece body design incorporates fully supported flanged boltholes to prevent stressing of the mating pipe flanges. Series PBFV valves feature a blowout-proof stainless steel stem and a full body liner that has a V-notch retention design. This assures positive sealing of the liner to the valve body. An integrally molded face seal provides positive sealing against the mating flange without the need for additional gaskets. Plastic construction gives this valve corrosion resistance, and the valves will not contaminate sensitive fluids that come into contact with them. Valves come in both PVC and CPVC, featuring either EPDM or FPM liner/seal, and are available in the following sizes: 2in, 3in, 4in 6in, 8in and 10in, with 8in and 10in models also available with a gear operated valve.
