Pentair announces Hydra-Stop acquisition

Pentair plc (PNR), a leader in helping the world sustainably move, improve, and enjoy water, life’s most essential resource, has completed the previously announced transaction to acquire Hydra-Stop LLC from Madison Industries for approximately USD 290M, subject to customary adjustments. When adjusted for approximately USD 50M of expected tax benefits, the net transaction value is approximately USD 240M.

Hydra-Stop is a provider of specialty insertion valves, line stop fittings, and installation equipment serving water utility service providers and municipalities throughout the United States. Hydra-Stop is expected to generate approximately USD 50M in revenue in the full year 2025 with an expected Return on Sales of approximately 30%.

Hydra-Stop will operate within the Commercial and Infrastructure business unit of Pentair Flow’s business segment and will continue to serve customers from its current Burr Ridge, Ill. location.
