Manfucaturer ‘’AKO’’ are to showcase Pinch Valves at Powtech 2013 in Nrünberg, Germany. It would seem that the principle of the pinch valve is simple: Supplying compressed air into the casing of the air operated Pinch Valve compresses the sleeve. The body’s design guarantees that the pinch valve sleeve can close freely to form a lip shape. This ensures that the product flow is completely sealed off tight and that the sleeve is guaranteed the longest service life at the same time. This closes the pneumatic pinch valve and completely seals off the flow of the product. As soon as the supply of compressed air is interrupted and the Valve casing is vented or drained, the specially manufactured sleeve is opened by its rebound resilience, enabling the pressure in the medium to flow through the full passage of the Pinch Valves.
With the help of detailed assembly instructions and new assembly videos, the pinch valve sleeve can easily be replaced by the customer on site (https://www.pinch-valve.com/en/products/assembly-videos.html). Short production downtime remains therefore guaranteed.
New to the product range of the company AKO are the pneumatic pinch valves type VMC, currently available in sizes DN10-100. This is a multifunctional modular system, which consists of a four-part construction: the housing (body), an elastomeric sleeve and two connection covers (socket ends). Special conductive models with separate earthing of the manufacturer AKO Armaturen & Separationstechnik GmbH are also available for the use in hazardous areas for zones 1, 2, 21 and 22. The VMC series of air operated pinch valves meets all requirements of the Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC.
