Powell Valves invests in capital infrastructure

The Wm. Powell Company (Powell Valves) has completed the third and final phase of the new state of the art manufacturing facility in China.

Phase one included construction of a new 400,000 square foot [37,000 m2] manufacturing facility, phase two was machinery and test equipment upgrades and the third and final phase was the construction of a 6,000 square foot [550 m2] cryogenic cleaning facility.

Powell now has cryogenic cleaning capabilities in Orangeburg, South Carolina and Yancheng City, China. “Duplicating what we have done for many years in Orangeburg, South Carolina into our Yancheng City facility enables us to support our industrial gas and LNG customers on a global scale” Tim Fries, vice president sales & marketing North American & International.
