Emerson Process Management’s 2004 course catalogue describes more than 260 training courses designed to facilitate the engineering, operation, maintenance, and optimisation of industrial process automation systems and devices. Engineers and technicians who take these courses are better able to optimise the performance of their processes and enhance productivity in their plants. Classes are available across North America at factory locations, regional training centres, locally in hotels or at customer sites, and as packaged programmes. The catalogue provides course descriptions, schedules, and sites for classes on process control, including the PlantWeb® digital plant architecture, FOUNDATION fieldbus technology, and various automation systems including DeltaV® and Ovation® automation systems and PROVOX®, RS3®, and WDPF control systems. Other courses cover field instrumentation that powers PlantWeb including control valves and digital valve controllers, measurement and flow control devices, and analytical instrumentation.
