Festo has chosen IWEX 2005 as the UK launch venue for a comprehensive range of pneumatic valve actuators and associated components for the process industry. The actuators have been developed to overcome the limitations of electrical drive technology – traditionally used in the water and waste water sectors. The range includes quarter-turn actuators for driving butterfly and ball valves, and linear actuators for gate valves and penstocks. A complementary family of high performance ball valves, together with a new series of overload-proof position feedback sensors, rounds out the range. The Festo stand features a fluidic muscle actuated animatronic character, which will introduce them to the new products on display. Festo will also be launching a series of local controllers and remote I/O systems for use with its new process industry components. The Festo product range includes rotary and linear actuators, ball valves and position sensors that are suitable for use in the water and waste-water treatment industries.
