Vicon Control Valve Solutions now offers a two-fold approach to true control valve diagnostic testing. Whilst utilising the standard OEM control valve positioner communication tools (HART/Fieldbus communicators) currently available, Vicon Control Valve Solutions in conjunction with their technology partner Softek Engineering (USA) brings control valve diagnostics to the next level by offering the Profiler test system. This compact system is fully field service compatible for both on and offshore applications, and is able to perform predictive diagnostic tests on all air operated control and choke valve types and configurations regardless of Valve OEM by having the ability to communicate with all Positioner protocols: Analog (4-20mA), Fieldbus, Profibus and HART. Non-intrusive diagnostic testing reduce the need for control valves to be blindly removed from line for inspection purposes, therefore reducing Control Valve down time and can assist with spares rationalisation.
