The Series 2000 CVC controller from ESE (Oegstgeest, The Netherlands) now functions as both a dampener and metering valve in one unit. Use of the Series 2000 valves means that standard pumps and motors can be installed to replace high-cost pump/motor control systems. CVC (constant volumetric control) technology is a novel system for flow control. The valve is totally independent of pressure changes and maintains a constant volumetric flow rate regardless of up- or downstream pressures. Features include: self-regulation in less than 100ms; 1% set-point accuracy; and control of flow independent of pressure and temperature changes. Standard body materials include stainless steel, brass and aluminium, with others available on special order. The valves can handle differential pressures to 100bar and flow rates from 1cm3/min to 55 litre/min.
