Re-gasification vessel contract

FCX Truflo Rona, Belgium, has secured contracts worth around USD 2.6 million for flow control components on the third re-gasification vessel to be built. The contract will include the supply of cryogenic ball valves for the LNG cargo containment system and all high-pressure cryogenic valves for the on-board re-gasification plant. FCX Truflo Rona also supplied the first two vessels in the series – Excelsior and Excellence – with cryogenic ball valves for the cargo containment systems and high-pressure globe valves for the on-board re-gasification plant. The carrier is based on a standard 138,000 cubic meter design with various upgrades and modifications including high-pressure pumps, shell and tube vaporisers and oversized boilers which allow them to vaporize its LNG cargoes on board and deliver high pressure gas to downstream pipelines. The third vessel, which is still to be named, is scheduled for delivery between October and December 2006.
