Emerson has produced a brochure describing how its Fisher® ENVIRO-SEAL® valve stem packing system can serve control valve applications. The 12-page brochure reviews the four design principles embodied in ENVIRO-SEAL packing that result in valve stem sealing to below 100 ppmv. Several systems are available, for both sliding stem and rotary valves, as illustrated in the brochure. Case studies are included to validate users’ successes with ENVIRO-SEAL packing. The ENVIRO-SEAL packing systems now extend to higher-pressure and temperature control conditions, which is presented in an easy-to-use packing selection chart. The systems also are certified by TÜV as meeting TA Luft emission control requirements.
