Relief valves earn VR certification

Spirax Sarco Inc. has received the National Board “VR” Certificate of Authorization. The certification program identifies organizations that have established and demonstrated a quality system for the repair of pressure relief valves used on boilers and unfired pressure vessels. The “VR” repair symbol stamp, when applied to ASME Code symbol stamped/National Board capacity certified relief valves, designate units as having been repaired to the requirements of the National Board. The National Board provides accreditation as a method of documenting properly performed repairs and aid in the attainment of OSHA safety equipment maintenance requirements. The certification is valid through 29 January 2010.
