Robert Fletcher (Greenfield) has completed a tissue PM rebuild at its mill near Oldham, UK. The PM will have a capacity of 12,000 tonnes per year of cigarette tissue following the rebuild. The machine was also modified to enable production of printing/writing paper in the basis weight range of 28–40 g/m2, but the company has not decided how much will be produced. The new equipment installed included a calender, two pre-dryer cylinders and a canopy hood. Work was also carried out on the press section. Warburton Holder was the main supplier for the scheme.
